Dental Nurse Jobs

A dental nurse job is providing chair-side assistance to the dentist for all dental procedures. This involves, ensuring that the dental patient being treated by the dentist is well cared for, preparing the surgery for dental treatment, sterilisation of the dentist's instruments, cross infection control, preparation of dental materials and record taking during dental treatment.

In the UK, by law, all dental nurses now have to be registered with the GDC and hold or be working towards a recognised Dental Nursing Qualification, such as an NVQ or National Certificate in Dental Nursing. Your local further education or careers centre will be a good source of knowledge regarding dental nurse courses.
