Private Dentist – Long-Term Locum (Maternity Cover), Harrogate, North Yorkshire
ZEST Dental Recruitment is working in partnership with an established, longstanding private dental practice in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, to recruit a Private Dentist for long-term locum cover.
The role
- Private Dentist – long-term locum, covering maternity leave
- Tuesday and Thursday (2 days per week)
- 45% split on private earnings
- Established, high-value patient list to inherit

The practice
- Fully private clinic with a multidisciplinary team in situ
- Longstanding practice with a loyal patient base and affluent demographic
- Modern, well-presented and equipped to a very high standard — CBCT, CEREC, digital x-ray, rotary endo
- Dedicated support team including Hygienists/Therapists, experienced nurses and a treatment co-ordinator
- Full clinical freedom and choice of labs
Why this role
You'd be stepping into a substantial, well-maintained list — a mix of Denplan (Care and Essentials) and fee-per-item private patients, built up by a clinician who's been with the practice for many years, primarily in general dental care. A strong general private dentistry background is the priority, though additional skills in restorative and cosmetic dentistry would be a welcome complement to the existing team, not a requirement.
This would suit an experienced private dentist looking for genuinely high earning potential on a flexible two-day pattern, in a practice with a stable team and excellent clinical support already in place.
Requirements
- Full GDC registration
- Minimum 3 years' experience providing dental treatment in the UK
