A brand new private dental practice in West Christchurch is seeking an experienced dentist to establish and develop the clinical side of the practice. The clinic has a completely new fit-out and there is already a list of patients waiting to be seen.

The practice is superbly equipped with rotary endodontics, an intraoral scanner and camera, CBCT, OPG and Airflow. As a new clinic, there will be some patient book development required, although a marketing plan is in place for the opening and early feedback has been positive.

You will initially work as the sole dentist, supported by a hygienist, receptionist and visiting orthodontist. An experienced senior dentist is based at another practice approximately 20 minutes away and will be available for clinical support when required.

The practice is ideally seeking a dentist with at least five years of clinical experience, although less experienced clinicians with the appropriate confidence and ability will also be considered. You should be comfortable working independently, confident across general dentistry and motivated by the opportunity to develop a new practice and build long-term patient relationships.

Christchurch offers an excellent South Island lifestyle with easy access to the city alongside beaches, mountains and outdoor activities. West Christchurch also provides convenient access to the wider Canterbury region and the Southern Alps.

Candidates must be eligible for registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand (DCNZ). This typically includes dentists qualified in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Canada* or the United States*. Candidates with other qualifications should check their eligibility with the DCNZ before applying.

USA and Canadian qualifications must be from DCNZ recognised accredited dental schools.
